19 months - CJM

So this post is almost two weeks late, which means I will have to do another one in two more weeks. Can't seem to keep up with it as I would prefer. So, I apologize for the picture overload. The past few weeks have been a blur with my concussion and not much has gotten done around the house, with work, and least of all, the blog. So, here's a look back on 19 months with the wild man.

We've gotten into the habit of going to Chick-fil-a on Fridays after going to the gym in the morning. That's their reward if I can make it through my class without having to come bail them out for crying, dirty diapers, etc. Charlie is such a big boy now, eating kids' meals, sipping on chocolate milk, and playing the playscape. I feel like my baby grew up overnight.
Have to include B as he is pertinent into making this whole thing happen and keeping C company in the childcare room at the gym! I think his love for CFA goes as deep as mine; a child after my own heart for sure.

His love for hats still remains solid.

and now he has paired it with his desire to try and walk down the stairs by himself. Ugh! Pretty sure this kids' middle name should have been Danger. He is stubborn as all get out when trying to accomplish this task and of course assumes that he needs no assistance.

I just love his sense of humor. It makes me smile. He has always loved playing peek-a-boo, but will now play it back.

I was sitting at the computer the other day and looked over my shoulder to see him playing peek-a-boo with me. I just didn't know we were playing!
Probably one of my favorite pics of him, ever! This sums him up to a T.

We also now have a new obsession with drying off the glass in the shower. Maybe a professional window washer in our future!?!?
Please excuse what appears to be a sweater dress. Apparently, he chose not to wear pants this particular day.
Or this day either, I guess?!?!
Here he is at his 18 month check-up looking like he's about 4.
Sweet boy loving on his daddy.
Always trying to make us laugh
He loves his brothers like no other. He wants to be with them at all times and naturally wants to do everything they are doing.

He's actually gotten a little more cuddly as of late. Even with me! I never thought it was possible, but he will give me a kiss if I ask him for one (about 60% of the time!). I think he may be finally coming around to the idea of me a bit more!
I love how much they love each other. Don't get me wrong, they fight just as much, but that isn't as cute to capture in photos!
This was just after Charlie did something mean to B. I told him to go over and give B a hug, and he actually did!
They love goofing off together. Lately, they have been loving putting on Wes' shoes and running around the house acting silly.
Can you tell who the bully is around our house?!? Surprisingly, B and Ryan take most of it from him without too much complaint. I'm sure that won't last for much longer.

One day I noticed Charlie looking out this window, so I decided to raise up the blinds a bit so he could get a better look. He loves to check out what's going on at the park (his favorite place on earth) or look for Wes when it's time for him to come home. He is such a puppy.
Before I go any further, let me state THERE WAS NO BEER LEFT IN THE MUG! Haha. Just in case you were wondering or were about to question our parenting skills. Charlie got a hold of an empty beer the other night at dinner, and it was just too funny not to capture.
He's determined to get a taste. Good to the last drop.
Then, he decided he wanted to taste the lime. You can see how well that went over!
Seems like a good reason to throw a fit!
He somehow opened the camera on my phone the other day, and we thought it would be fun to take a selfie since he very rarely will sit still with me for more than 1 minute.
Can't remember what inspired this, but we had a marker out and he had no shirt on. So it made sense.
We decided to bring back the booster seat because this kid is clearly over the highchair. Of course, now B wants back in this seat which makes for some fun arguing.
This kid LOVES food. Just about any and all food. He eats more than his brothers in about half the amount of time it takes them to complete a meal. Lately, he's really into what Wes and I are eating. Last night he ate Chicken Pesto over spaghetti squash. He loves cherry tomatoes, Marcona almonds, fine cheeses, and I am sure he would enjoy a nice glass of Cab if we would let him. He loves yogurt, milk, any and all sweets or chocolate, cereal, peanut butter, fruit, you get the picture. I will be extremely surprised if by his next check up he hasn't skyrocketed on the charts. The kid can put away some food.
He is just talking non-stop these days. He even has a few phrases he uses quite often. "Shut the door," "Open the gate" (the stairgate) "Go to park." When he calls for me he screams out "Mah-y" or when he wants milk he yells out "MOOLK." If you ask him if he had a good day, he responds with "gah day!" He can repeat just about anything we say. The other day, I was at the gym with B and Charlie. B was demanding a snack and I told him he needed to chill. Right there on the spot, C yells out "CHEEEEELL!"

He's still a great sleeper. Sleeping from 8:30-7:30/8 in the morning, and then will take a 2-3 hour nap after lunch. The boy would live at the park if he could. He gets really mad when he hears us talk about anything and everything outdoors; if he isn't getting to actually go do whatever it is he thinks we are discussing, a major fit ensues. Speaking of fits, he can throw one with the best of them. I can tell, this one is going to be trouble. He loves to defy us and knows when he is doing something he shouldn't be. He'll go "hide" whether that means just burying his head in the couch cushions, running to a corner, stopping dead in his tracks as if he was invisible, etc. Then, he stands really still and doesn't make a peep and before I know it, he's turning his head to me with a huge grin on his face because he thinks he just got away with something big.

Here he is getting his little Valentine's gift. The kid loves candy, so you can see how excited he was when he opened a bag full of, you guessed it, candy!

Then, he just assumed the Skittles should be opened that very second and was mad he just couldn't dig into them right away.
We love watching his personality form more and more each day. He's such a perfect addition to our family. Love you Charlie bear!!!
