18 months - CJM

I feel like I could probably write a book from the last month with Charlie. He has just been so funny and it seems like I've captured quite a bit of it on camera, so I apologize for picture overload in this post! He loves to sit in these window boxes and I thought he was looking super cute this particular day.
The mat in front of the door is usually where B and Ryan go sit for timeout, so it has become quite the gathering place these days. He will almost always go find them in timeout and sit in one of the boxes. He thinks it's playtime. Pretty sure this won't ever work for timeout for him.
He honestly thinks he is 6, I swear. He doesn't let his age hold him back on anything, even when it results in multiple falls, tumbles, and tears. He has recently been climbing on the kitchen chairs much to my dismay. He does not like being left out of his brothers' activities. He just climbed his little self up there because he wanted to color one day.
And then he took it to the next level like only Charlie can do. Why sit and color when you can stand and color?!? Cue the heart attack....
No, I don't think all of these pictures were taken on the same day. We just love these pajamas on him. He's such a ham.
His eating continues to improve daily. He will try just about anything before he decides whether or not he likes it, which I love. A few of his current favorites include: blueberries, strawberries, PBJ, french fries, hash browns, chicken (and chicken nuggets), APPLESAUCE (I'm screaming that because he begs for it multiple times a day and he can actually say it), cereal, yogurt, donuts, any type of Italian food, and any and all things that can be stabbed with a fork. The kid is tenacious about using a fork; he won't accept his meals any other way.
Ordering his sliders from Bernie's Burger Bus!
Ladies and Gentleman, I present to you our very own little Hugh Hefner. We found this robe the other day that GiGi had made for Ryan, so I put it on Charlie and he immediately fell in love with it. He is so funny about things like this or hats, jackets, etc. He feels so cool when he's wearing an accessory, he will just strut around the house all excited and giddy.
 More of the robe...
.....and here he is in the monkey hat, a fast favorite of his.
Is he not the cutest?!? I might be a little biased...
Just a typical night at the Mock house with dad.
Charlie was pretty pumped (notice the little tighty whities on B?!?!)
Once Charlie was booted off of dad's neck, he came the little creeper peeper! He loves his brothers so much and can say both of their names very well. Lately, when Ryan comes home from school, he will come running around the corner with a huge grin and throw his arms around him for a big hug. I love it. Or he will randomly climb up on the couch and just lay himself down on top of one of the boys when he wants to cuddle.
He's always up for cuddling with dad!
Another one of his favorite activities - climbing on top of the coffee table, then turning around to swing his legs back and forth.

Here is his daily heart attack activity. I swear, this alone is going to cause me to go grey. I just had to try and get a few pictures to capture his pure craziness. His eyes get so big right before he is about to do something he shouldn't, and he gets really excited.
 ....and there he goes....
....face planting into the cushions. I really need a padded room for him.
One of his new activities is talking on the phone. I love that that all 3 boys have loved pretending to walk around and talk on the phone. I think it's the cutest. He literally will shout HEL-WHOA 50 times before quitting. Maybe he thinks someone will finally answer back on the phone if he says it enough.
While I was taking a few pics of him talking, B walked right in front of the camera doing his favorite activity of all time.
 and here's the money shot!
He also can be very lazy, haha. I walked in on him the other day and he had sat himself on the futon, with the remote, attempting to change the channel. Seriously, when did he get so big!??!
 "I got this, mom!"
He had another ear infection this month. Poor baby. It had actually been a few months since he had one, thank goodness, but still no fun! You would never know by looking at him that he was sick.
His routine has pretty much remained the same. He finally officially moved to one nap a day. Some days he will nap 3-3.5 hours beginning around noon. He goes to bed by 8:30 and is usually up anywhere from 7:15-8 am. Still sporting size 18 months clothes and size 5 diapers. I think he has 12 teeth, two adorable dimples, frat-tastic hair, a knack for falling or running into things, a temper like you wouldn't believe, and a sweet-sensitive side when he wants to be. He has more words than I can count now which is funny considering at his check-up they wanted him to have 6. It's such a relief being in a place where we don't have to worry about this with him while we did for so long with Bradley. I am very thankful for it, for sure. He loves to point and shout at what he wants. He truly has no issue getting across to us what it is that he desires.

Further proof he is completely obsessed with Ryan!
The poor kid doesn't get out of the house too much. Especially over the past two months with the cold, rain, and random runny noses or colds there would be many weeks from Monday-Thursday he would not leave the house. It makes me feel pretty guilty. So naturally, a trip to drop B off at school or a doctor's visit is the highlight of his day. The moment we mention going somewhere, he races to the utility room, grabs his "cocs" (Crocs - but also what he calls all of his shoes), plops himself down on the kitchen floor for someone to put them on, then does a little jig while screaming "Et go!" He clearly needs to get out more. The weather has been gorgeous the past week or two, so he's been at the park quite a bit. Can you see the pure joy on his face?!?! Also, notice he has another hat on!
 My little thug!
You can see just about all of his ribs and spine in this pic. I swear we feed him! On that note, his measurement from today were as follows:
Height: 34.75 in. (96%)
Weight: 25 lbs. 8 oz (44% and that was with him fully clothed with huge clunker sneakers on!!)
Head: 19.75 in. (79%)

I haven't done a comparison pic in a while, so I thought now would be a good time. I still think Charlie resembles such a mixture of the two of them. When looking at them individually, Charlie probably looks more like Ryan, but I feel like they each share some of the same qualities.
We love you, Charlie bear!!!

New Years 2016

We've spent 3 of the past 4 New Years with the Correa family (so I think it's a tradition now!). We drove out to the Correa's lakehouse in Conroe on the 30th to get away for a few days and let the kids play together and the adults relax as much possible with 5 kids in one house! We met up at a local Mexican restaurant the first night and quickly put the kids to bed once we got settled in the house. We spent New Years together in 2012 when Bradley was just 11 days old (Lucia is about 6 weeks older than B). Hard to believe they were ever this little.
And here we all are 3 years later. Really wish we had taken a picture in 2014 together....
...especially because we could have started pics with these two as well! Charlie and Sienna are exactly 3 months apart.
 The whole crew!
A little blurry, but still cute!
During the day on New Year's Eve, the kids played across the street at the park for a bit. After naps, we headed to the bowling alley to let the kids burn some energy. They had a blast. Of course, Charlie felt like he needed to be bowling as well because he doesn't realize he is only 1. He made a few attempts with Wes holding the ball for him. He was pretty content sitting in the chairs, eating snacks, running around, and begging for Wes to hold him at all times.

The younger ones didn't have much patience while waiting for their turn. The concept of not being able to go whenever you want did not sit well with them.
Of course, B, like last time thought he could carry just about any size ball. When we first got there, we look over at him and he is walking to the lane from the ball return with a 12 or 13 lb. ball. No problem. He has crazy strength sometimes.
The little guiding-helper-thingys really come in handy!

Ryan wasn't wanting to use that all the time, so he implemented the granny shot with decent success.

"Waiting is so boring!"

After almost two hours of bowling, we headed back to the house. The kids took an early bath so we could go do some fireworks before bed time.

Unfortunately, the wind was so bad, it was a little difficult to get them going. A few roman candles and sparklers satisfied them, thank goodness! We got them all to bed by a decent time, and then were able to enjoy the adult portion of New Year's Eve complete with prime rib, cocktails, watching fireworks through the windows (it began to rain and was super cold by midnight), and a few games of Exploding Kittens!

Here's Wes carving the Roast Beast!
It was another fun-filled New Years in the books with great friends!!!
