Getting into the swing of things

It's been awhile since my last post and although it doesn't feel like we have done too much, Ryan seems to be changing more and more each day. We actually have some resemblance of a schedule these days, which is refreshing. He goes to bed by 9pm and will sleep anywhere between 3-5am and then go back down until 7:30-8am. When he wakes up in the morning, he is just so happy, he doesn't have the need to eat right away. We can actually have five minutes of sweet, happy Ryan before he turns into a vulture hunting for his prey.

He LOVES to play on his little play mat, we've hung a mirror from it and he can just stare at himself and make funny faces forever. He grabs at all of his toys and will put just about anything that he can get a hold of in his mouth!

He has also mastered sucking his thumb, not too sure how we feel about it, but it sure does soothe him when he is upset. he's definitely got almost full head control and can easily roll from his tummy to his back. He wants so badly to get from his back to tummy, but can't quite figure out how to master it just yet!

Ryan's had his first two sleepovers this past month. He stayed at Coco and Poppy's the weekend of my birthday, so Wes and I could get out and go have a nice dinner at America's.

He also stayed at Gigi's one night over the 4th of July weekend since Wes' best friend Colby was in town and we wanted to have a night out. He seemed pretty darn happy both nights away, I think we missed him more than he missed us! We are actually going to be out of town a few weekends, so he will have some upcoming slumber parties to look forward to!

We had a fun 4th of July weekend hanging out with friends, we went to our block party for a bit to meet some neighbors, then went and hungout at the pool at Coco and Poppy's. It was a nice, long relaxing weekend for all of us :)
