Happy Easter!!

We had a wonderful Easter weekend with lots of family time and celebrations. Wes had a 4 day weekend (2 of those days were dedicated to the never-ending bathroom remodel, but it was very productive for him). My mom and I took Ryan on Friday to see the Easter bunny at the mall. After waiting in line for 30 minutes, we finally make it to the front, placed Ryan on his lap and the whole ordeal was over in less than a minute. He did surprisingly well. I think he didn't get too good of a look at his face, so it wasn't too scary for him. He actually didn't want to leave when it was over because he became so obsessed with the furry hands. We never got a real smile, but considering how fast they rush you in and out of there, at least it wasn't a frown!

The whole thing is a scam if you ask me, but they didn't ask me, so now we have pictures for anyone who wants one since of course you just can't buy 1 or 2! Sorry for the poor quality, but I took a picture of the picture!

Saturday we headed over to my parents for lunch complete with yummy food, Ryan's first Easter basket for the weekend, and an Easter Egg Hunt.

Sunday morning we all got up early, gave Ryan his Easter basket that the Easter Bunny left for him, and headed to church (I wish we had a family pic of us before church, but we didn't have anyone to take it!)

The bunny was good to Ryan and left him a blow-up pool, a monkey puppet, and some new feeding items!

After church, we went to Sugarland to have Easter lunch with Wes' family and celebrate his grandmother's 80th birthday. Ryan received his 3rd and final Easter basket, enjoyed exploring around, and most importantly, chowing down on A LOT of cake!

For a boy who didn't seem too interested in his birthday cake, he was LOVING all of  the sugar yesterday.

After a long weekend, we headed home to which we thought would be a nice long nap for Ryan, but I think he was too wired from all of the cake! He was crawling all around, playing with every single toy he had. I would put something up and he would be right behind me taking it back out turning our house into a disaster zone.
