2 months - BLM

Another month has come and gone, sometimes I feel like all of the days and nights start running together, and I don't even know what day it is. Bradley is doing really well and has started settling into a pretty good schedule (at least at nighttime). We usually give him a bath before bed, around 9-9:30 and then he eats and goes down for the night. Most nights he wakes up around 4:15-4:30 give or take 30 minutes, and then goes back down until about 7:30 and then will usually sleep in his swing for a while after that. Granted we have had a few nights he won't go down until 11 and other nights he has slept until 6 or so, but I can't complain because this is WAAAAY better than Ryan was doing at this point, so I'll take it. Now, napping during the day has been a different story. I feel like for a while he was on a 48 hour day where he would sleep nonstop for 18-24 hours and then be awake alll of the next day which was unpleasant for us all. He seems to get overtired very easily and once that happens, no one is happy. He has a hard time winding down and actually going to sleep, so he cries a TON. Now, on days where we can get him on a good schedule, he will take a bunch of 40 minute naps between feedings, unless we are out and about, then he can sleep for hours.

We have taken him off of the Zantac because we don't think he has reflux, just some tummy troubles. He will get really bad cramps and gas which is horrible, so we are starting him on some Karo Syrup and hope that will do the trick.

His doctor's appointment went really well. He had 4 vaccinations which knocked him out for basically 18 hours except to get up to eat about 3 times (slept 7 hours in his car seat that afternoon!).

His stats were:
Weight - 12 lbs. 3.5 oz (49%)
Height - 24.25" (92%)
Head - 15.75" (75%)

Here's a pic after his shots.

Basically his height and head circumference is right where is brother was at, but Ryan was over 14 lbs. at this point and 90%. Bradley just wants to eat ALL of the time, but then not eat very much which is extremely inconvenient, especially with two kids to chase after and cart around. Luckily, Dr. S said since he is a good weight, we just have to let him cry and learn that he can't eat every 1.5-2 hours and that he needs to stretch it out so when it is time to eat, he will get down to business! So we are going to try and stretch feedings during the day to about 2.5-3 hours, if possible.

He has become such a sweet boy, just smiling all of the time and even starting to laugh some. He's also discovered his tongue and is trying to "talk" back to us which is too cute. He's tracking really well and actually loves his mobile. He also loves his swing and bouncer (unlike big bro) which has been a godsend as well as a curse because he does not nap in his room pretty much ever and sleeps at night in his bassinet in his room still. So, I guess this month the goal would be to start transitioning him to his crib which may mean less sleep for everyone :( I've finally been able to start capturing some smiling pictures here in the past week.

They already love each other so much. Ryan's voice is very calming to Bradley and when they lay next to each other, Bradley is very relaxed and content, I love it!

Earlier this month, we went to a Superbowl party at Nancy and Manuel's. I thought this was pretty funny.....
My, how times have changed!!!

I got a few Valentine's pics of the two of them together. It's funny how Ryan all of a sudden loves to get in pictures and will even smile now that I take pics of lil bro all of the time. Oh well, whatever works!

Wes has been travelling for work more than he ever has before. CoCo has been a MAJOR help - don't know how we would have made it through without her :) He can recognize her voice as well now (along with mine, Wes' and Ryan's) and will smile whenever she talks to him.

Bradley is such a trooper. I think like most second children, he will most likely always be on the go with us. He's been to the park, Ryan's school, the mall, countless errands, birthday parties, out to eat multiple times a week - way more than Ryan was at this point for sure.

*He's still in size 1 diapers, will probably switch to 2 once I run out of this box
*In 3 month clothes; however, Wes pointed out they are starting to get pretty short
*He is super congested all of the time, but the Nose Frida has become my best friend
*He takes about 3.5 oz at a time, I think (or at least when he has a bottle)
*His hair is still light brown/red and eyes seem to be turning more brown by the day
*His head control has become very strong and he loves to stand whenver we hold him up
*He is very easily startled, like most babies, but gets SO scared and let's out such a shrill whenever he doesn't know where he is. He will let out the saddest cry whenever he gets upset.

Here are his 2 month photos

Love these boys :)
