Ryan seems to enjoy practice quite a bit more than the actual game. He's not too aggressive right now and does not like to get in the thick of it when the boys are fighting over the ball. He does really well with all of the drills at practice and loves to kick the ball around at home.
Our first game was about a month or so ago and of course, it rained pretty much the entire game. I got a few cute pics of Ryan before we left.
Lil bro was having a melt down and was a crank the entire first game, but didn't mind the rain too much,
Some pre-game stretching. Haha!
We quickly learned about 5 minutes into the game, that their team is GOOD. There are some really competitive kids on the team, and it's almost too bad they don't keep score or have play-offs because these kids would be going to the National Champs (no joke). It's funny because the kids are always keeping tabs on the score and how many goals they've each made. One game, they scored over twenty and instead of playing 4 on 4, they were only letting one of ours kids play against the other team of 4. They are all really sweet though and play really well together.
The very last minute of the first game, Ryan got a hold of the ball and scored a goal (so we think!) It was hard to tell with the rain, We are just going with it :)
Ryan did not enjoy playing in the rain whatsoever. So much, that he has asked to only go to practice and not play in the games. Luckily, we haven't had too much rain since, so he'll at least go and participate. I've had to promise him that if he will just finish out the season, that during the winter he can play basketball. That is ALL he talks about wanting to play right now.

Currently the Toronto are 4-0 with 4 games to go. He has mentioned to me that at the end of the season he will be getting a trophy which he is super pumped about. So there's that to look forward to! I know this is just the beginning of our next 18 years of sports between these 3 boys, and I am pretty excited about it! Go TORONTO!
