We had a really fun 4th of July weekend. It was Wes' Friday off plus the day off for the holiday, so we had a nice long 4 days together! Wes' uncle has a bayhouse in Galveston that he was so nice to let us use, so we headed there from Thursday until Saturday. You would think by the looks of the packed car, we were moving, but no - just a 48 hour trip!

| Every road trip usually begins with "I'm hungry" within the first five minutes |
We got to the bayhouse around 10 or so Thursday morning, unloaded, and headed over to Schlitterbahn. The boys were beside themselves, they were so excited to go to the waterpark. Wes dropped us off and then headed back so that Charlie could nap. Ryan, B, and I had a lot of fun being able to ride a bunch of the rides before it got crowded. Wes and Charlie came up and met us around lunchtime, and we all stayed at the park for a bit together playing in the kiddie pools/slides, and taking turns with the older boys on the rides. That afternoon, I took B and C back to the house for afternoon naps so that Ryan and Dad could have time together at the park.
They were so cute napping, I had to capture it. Charlie was cuddling his lovey so sweetly.
And although, B protested going home for a nap, he clearly needed it!
The evening, we headed to Shrim n Stuff for a lot of fried food. Apparently, the food did not come fast enough for Bradley. I took this pic right as he said, "me hungy, hungy, hungy!" He has ZERO patience.
These boys sure do love each other! (and love messing with each other equally as much)
As if a fried basket of shrimp, onion rings, and fries was not enough, we decided to head down to the strand to the famous La Kings for some malts and candy!
Despite Ryan's refusal to smile, the both drained their malts within a couple of minutes.

| I think Bradley was hoping he could steal some of Ryan's shake if he drank his fast enough! |
 |
| I got a fake, half smile from him! |
This pic below is from Ryan's first trip to La Kings back in July of 2011. Crazy how quickly 4 years has passed!
Charlie was a pretty big fan as well (doesn't he look so much like Ryan?! I can't wait to see how much they resemble each other as time passes).
 |
| Do I have something on my face?!? |
 |
| Chheeeese! |
After dessert, we let the boys pick a few things to take home with us and they deliberated for what seemed like 30 minutes. They finally settled on chocolate covered gummy bears
 |
| No big deal - just downed a malt and now snacking on chocolate covered gummy bears. |
The next morning, we did more of the same. Wes took Ryan and Bradley to the park that morning, while I stayed home with Charlie, so he could nap. I met them up there around lunchtime, and then Wes took B and C home that afternoon for naps. I let Ryan pick a treat out at the park, and he opted for the huge Icee cup. He was in Heaven!

That evening, Wes' uncle invited us to his house to swim and grill then go out for a boat ride. We told the boys about it earlier in the week, so B kept asking when we would go on the boat ride and asking what color the boat would be. They had quite a bit of fun swimming over there. His uncle converted the hot tub into a baby pool by filling it in, and B had a blast in it. They had these turtles made of out files on the floor of the baby pool, and all of a sudden, B just started screaming when he was in the pool. At first, we thought Ryan did something to him, but come to find out he kept saying "turtles bite me!" He was convinced he had been bitten by the tile turtles. It was too funny. After a nice, relaxing boat ride, when we ere walking past the pool, he kept a safe distance and waved bye bye to the turtles.
The boys have really been into wrestling each other lately, or maybe it's just B wanting to attack Ryan. Either way, this is how they spent the next morning while we packed up.
The afternoon of the 4th, our neighbors had us over to swim and bbq. The boys had a blast and everyone played together so nicely! We're lucky to have found such fun and sweet neighbors!
That night, Ryan's friend, Matthew and his family invited everyone over to do fireworks at their house. Ryan has never been around fireworks so this was definitely new to him. Bradley only lasted 2 minutes. By the time the first one went off, he was shaking and crying, so Wes took him home. The boys had a lot of fun with sparklers.

| I was trying to get Ryan to write his name |
 |
| Good buddies! I think Ryan reacted to the flash, haha. So glad they will be in Kinder together next year. |
What a fun weekend we had. Life's been downhill ever since our crazy. busy, fun two weeks in June!
