Spring Wrap-Up

I've realized I have been slacking on the blog lately, but I feel like with the end of the school year and beginning of swim team, there isn't much free time to sit down and catch up. So, this will probably just be a picture dump with a ton of captions, so beware!

The boys love putting on tatoos as of late. Look closely and you can see about 4 all up and down B's arms. He also does this thing when he wants to try and smile big for a picture where he ends up closing his eyes! He's proud of his MagnaTile creation.
B's first set of Xrays. He was so cool, calm, and collected!

Didn't budge an inch.
Even when it was time for his check-up, he was extremely obedient. I was pretty surprised that none of this seemed to phase him.
You can see him slightly tensing up, but he was brave through it all!
Now, Ryan on the other hand, despises Xrays. I can't blame him for his uneasiness at the dentist. He's had a rough year with having to have a tooth pulled and a huge hunk of metal placed in his mouth.
That is the look of a pretty skeptical patient!

The boys did a month long baseball instructional camp through I9 sports. They both had an awesome time, and B really felt like he was playing baseball because they got medals (which is all they really care about anyway!). He was pretty cute watching him learn how to bat, run the bases, catch, etc. I have a few pretty funny videos in which he will run right past second base and keep going!

I think he thought these benches were the coolest thing ever!
Bradley moved up into the preschool class at gymnastics and has been loving it. He's become so much more outgoing and willing to try more things without crying! He'll come back after class and say how he did the balance beam or the bars and didn't even cry! He's always so proud of himself, I love how it's built so much more confidence in him.
They put together a little routine that they perform each week, and it's hilarious. I had to break the video into two parts because of its size.

Ryan looks so cute here. He came in from playing in the water one day and said "hey mom, I look like dad!" I thought it was precious.
We headed to the Correa's lakehouse in Conroe back in April, for the first of what I am sure will be many weekends over the course of the summer. B looks pretty hilarious right here with all of his gear on, ready for the "road trip " (and by road trip, I mean 1 hour drive).
Hanging out on their new boat, which is so much fun! As B calls it "our boat" and "our lakehouse" I think he has assumed squatter's rights on everything there.
Charlie sportin the backwards cap
We did some sparklers and fireworks before bed on Saturday night. The kids had a blast.
Please excuse what will be a bazillion pics of Charlie looking at the fireworks, but his expressions were just too cute not to capture them all.

My personal fave (Manuel was down on the bottom of the dock shooting off various fireworks).

The boys even got to help dad set some off!

Getting ready for another day of boating! Charlie swiped Sienna's sunglasses.
Ryan actually tubed with Wes that weekend, even though it was freezing. Wes and Manuel even wakeboarded!
GiGi took Ryan to the Museum of Science in Sugar Land and he had a blast!

Ryan lost his second bottom tooth in May. This was Wes trying to pull it, I think it didn't actually come out for a few days later.
These two could literally spend 4 hours on the swings and probably not complain. Our nanny has told me on multiple occasions how they will spend an entire morning over at our tiny purple park (mainly on the swings) and not come back until lunchtime.
This kids' goal in life is to make people laugh and I am not joking. He has said that on multiple occasions. Think he fits the stereotype of a middle child?!?! He will make whatever face, sound, pose, you name it, as long as it will make someone laugh.
Ryan's school had a Spring Carnival in April, while I was out of town visiting Sarah in Denver. I think we all had a blast!!

B really wanted to do this snow-slide, but was terrified the entire ride down! These pictures crack me up.

Ryan was pretty brave (which I think was 100% brought on by the fact that Ashley wanted to do this), but he decided he wanted to try out the zipline. This thing was legit! He was so glad he ended up trying it! It looked awesome.
B's face looks nice and round right here!

He was mad about something! I think Wes said that he wouldn't let Charlie hold the snocone and was just feeding it to him and that really ticked him off.
You can sort of tell that their hair had been spray painted red right here.
And this is what it looks like when it all gets washed out!!

Love these cuties and not so "baby Chase" as B calls him. Chase actually has a new younger brother and is no longer the baby anymore. He is about 5 months older than Charlie. They live down the street with us and also have 3 boys! When we get together, it's pretty crazy!
They asked to pose for a picture the other day. I think it was because B was in his "fancy blue shirt" as he calls it and thinks he looks handsome, so wanted me to take a picture. I love just how much they enjoy each other's company these days. Ryan is so good with him and B loves following him around playing whatever game he makes up.
B finished school at Grace back in mid-May. Here are his two wonderful teachers he had this past year, Mrs. Kimberly and Mrs. Ashlie, he just adored them.

I forgot to take a separate pic of him on his last day of school, but here's a side by side comparison of his first day vs. last day. I almost forget what he look liked before he had his glasses. He looks like so much more of a baby back in September. He is definitely NOT a baby anymore. He has the memory of an elephant, likes to tell it like it is and cuts you no slack, makes you hold true to your promises, refuses to take no for an answer, and just knows what he wants! He is our strong-willed, comedian, and tenderhearted little boy. He is always complimenting me no matter how crazy or out of sorts I appear. He has really taken his role as big brother to Charlie seriously. He loves life and lives it to its fullest. He never wants to miss a moment and wants to be just like his big brother. I love watching his personality develop more and more each day.
We were out my sister-in-law's parents 60th wedding anniversary party a few weeks back and all B wanted to do was dance. It was so stinking cute. He just kept asking "come dance with me!" Love this little boy!

Ryan finally had his field day at school toward the end of the year after about 3 reschedules. It was really fun watching them play all of the different games, I think there were close to 50!

Here he is with his "girlfriend" Ashley, who just about took him out on this game! Haha!
Ryan finished up dad's pitch baseball at the end of May as well. He really improved this season and after about two games, never used the Tee again! It was great because they would pitch to them 5-6 times so give them enough chances to hit the ball and I think that helped with his confidence for sure.

Apparently they take fall AND spring pictures at school. I either wasn't really aware or completely forgot, so he didn't get a haircut in beforehand, but I still bought a few anyway. Loving the hand in the pocket.

Over Memorial Day weekend, Wes and I were able to getaway for a night to attend one of his friend's weddings up near Ft. Worth. We had such a great time and it was just a beautiful wedding. We never seem to get too many pictures with just the two of us, so it seemed worth documenting!
Ryan had his celebration of learning during the last week of school to commemorate him finishing up Kindergarten. They were pretty cute singing their songs they've been practicing for the past few weeks. Here's Mrs. Gillaspia's class. Ryan's in the upper right of this pic.

After they crossed the stage and shook their teacher's hand. Mrs. G read off something about each child - what they like to do at school, etc. For whatever reason, Ryan said his favorite thing to do was to play in the Vet center, which made both Wes and I chuckle given his disdain for most animals. He also said his favorite thing about school was his teacher. Haha!
So proud of this boy and all that he accomplished in his first year of school. I feel confident there are big things in store for this little guy!
Love this pic of the two of them!
We went and celebrated a great year at Orange Leaf afterwards with his two besties! These are our two neighbors and were in the same class this year. They are going to be so sad next year when they are most likely going to be separated!

And to wrap up this past spring, I have a clip of one of our first of many swims at CoCo and Poppy's pools.
