I was doing so good there for a few short weeks keeping up with the blog, but I have yet again, let it get behind! We've been pretty busy around here, but more on that later! Halloween came about 10 days after my thyroid surgery and was one of the first times I really got out of the house. Luckily, the boys were pretty cooperative, and I got some cute shots of them before we headed over to our neighbors for the annual worm sandwiches! Surprisingly, Charlie was extremely willing to wear his Marshmallow Man costume and stand still for a few pics!

We headed over to Ryan's friend, Matthew's house for the annual worm sandwiches and snacks before trick-or-treating and had such a good time with our friends. These kids are the sweetest.
Wes came and met us over there before we headed out. Last year, Charlie was in the wagon the entire time, but this year he was ready to give the whole trick-or-treating thing a shot. We started with our neighbor across the street, who just so happens to be Ryan's first grade teacher!!
He got the hang of it down pretty quickly, but majorly slowed down the group, so we had to have him skip every few houses.
I couldn't keep up with these two. They were bound and determined to acquire as much candy as possible.
Wes had to run home for reinforcements about 20 min into the whole thing. I think B chugged down that bottle in about 1 minute. Oh what we have to look forward to in the college years......
Another neighbor had these little backdrops set-up which were just too cute not to pose in front of.
I loved seeing how excited they got when they got a piece of candy they loved. B is truly at such a fun age where everything makes him so happy. I love seeing life through the eyes of a child.
Once it got dark, I stopped with the pictures. I think about halfway through Charlie ended up in the wagon and at about the 75% mark, B ended up in there with him. We only were out for an hour or so, and decided to head home to hand out candy to our neighbors as we have never done that before. This may have been the highlight of the boys' night. They were literally screaming at people coming by saying "Free Halloween candy, come get your candy!" Of course they would then fight over who got to place the candy in the neighbors' bags which ended up in most people receiving a LOT of candy!
Afterwards, we headed in so they could inspect their loot as they do every year. Buzz was proud of his lot.
Ryan couldn't wait to organize!
Here is part of the finished product. We did make him pick it up though. The next day, he couldn't wait to get home from school. He immediately combined all three of the boys' candy and sorted it. Then placed the different categories into their own Ziplocs. A boy after my own accountant heart!
This was by far the most fun Halloween yet. So funny how excited they will get over a bucket of candy!!
