Cabo Wabo

Last Saturday we dropped off the lil guy at my parents house and came home to pack our bags in preparation for our 6 day stay in Cabo San Lucas. We left Sunday morning and by lunchtime, we were seriously in paradise. We stayed at Zoetry Casa del Mar which was a beautiful, lush resort. From the 24 hour in-room dining service, to the swim-up bars and pool on the beach, we couldn't have asked for a better get-a-way. Here was the view from our balcony.

 Our gorgeous room!

We spent our first day poolside, enjoying fruity cocktails and just relaxing. I read some good books while I was gone (had been wanting to read The Help for a while now and finally was able too, such a great book and highly recommend it). That night, we ate dinner on the beach around the fire. It was perfect.

It was so nice being able to stay up as late as we wanted and not wake up in the morning to Ryan crying for us to come get him. Even though we still were about by 8 or 8:30 every morning. We spent another full day down by the beach and got a little burnt!

Tuesday, we headed into town and went on a half day sailing/snorkeling trip all around the Sea of Cortez and along the coast of the Pacific. We pretty much had the boat to ourselves and the weather was perfect.

We were able to sail around Lover's beach and the famous arch that supposedly only has sand on it every 4 years; so, this was pretty neat to be able to get so close to it.

That night we cam back into town and had a wonderful dinner at Edith's (which came to us highly recommended from quite a few people). We ate just about everything from filet, to lobster, shrimp, and sea bass. Basically we were pigs; such pigs, that I cracked my crown on my tooth and had to deal with that the rest of the trip!

You notice how my make-up clearly doesn't match my horrible sun burn?!?!

We relaxed all day Wednesday, starting off with breakfast outside and then were pretty much under our umbrella the entire day. The sun's rays are so strong there, Wes even got sunburned under the umbrella.
We headed back into town that night to have dinner by the beach at the Office, which was also owned by Edith's. The atmosphere was everything you would imagine it would/should be. There was live music, wonderful food and drinks, tiki torches, the works.

On our last full day, we headed to San Jose del Cabo to swim with the dolphins. Wes and I always joke about how we have such good luck on trips when it comes to booking excursions because what was supposed to be a group of 10 people, turned into just me and Wes with the trainer and 2 dolphins. It was such a neat experience learning how to play with them and see all of their tricks. We were able to do the "Push" which is where both dolphins swim up behind you and literally push you out of the water to where it looks like you are water skiing, completely upright. By Friday morning, we were ready to get home and see our boy. It was the perfect length of time to rejuvenate and just be with each other. When we went to pick Ryan up Friday night, he definitely was in shock at first to see us, but then became super clingy (and still is today). Every time I leave the room, he thinks I am going to leave him (makes me feel sooo bad!)
Here is Ryan and dad hanging out yesterday chowing down on some gold fish.
