11 months - BLM

It's hard to believe in less than a month, this lil guy will be ONE! Where does the time go?!!?

Bradley's had a pretty great month. He has just turned into the happiest kid I could ever imagine. He seriously smiles with his entire face and just loves life. He has also turned into the most nosy, curious, and independent (when he wants to be) lil dude as well. He just roams around the house, doing whatever he wants, going wherever he pleases, like he owns the place. Of course, his favorite place is Ryan's bedroom (which obviously does not go over too well with big brother), and he gets so excited if we even get close to it. He will start flailing his arms and screaming for me to put him down so he can go jack with all of his stuff. He has also become a huge fan of the playroom off of our kitchen. It mainly has all of Ryan's toys in there, but he has loved going in there as of late. He loves to play with the kitchen, tool bench, and the castle.

He has become a very fast crawler. He has figured out the quickest way to get from point A to point B. He will crawl on carpet, but then army crawls (or slithers as we like to say) on any smooth surface. It is funny to watch him transition from the wood/tile floor to the carpet. He figured out a way to keep up with big brother! He will stand on his own for about 4-5 seconds at a time, but it usually unknowingly and not very often.

He is basically just into anything and everything he shouldn't be. Let's see..... one afternoon a few weeks ago (pre babyproofing), I was going through the mail in the kitchen while B was sitting on the floor at my feet with Ryan right next to him. In a matter of seconds, he opens a cabinet, leans in, and swats out our glass blender. It was almost in slow motion. The next thing I see is Bradley covered in shattered glass with Ryan close by. I immediately pick up B, brush all the glass off of him, tell Ryan to stand-up slowly and we move out of the kitchen. Then, I texted Wes and asked him to come home :) (it was already 5pm btw). We since then have babyproofed the cabinets. He has to just constantly be watched at all times. He is always one moment away from disaster.

He got his second ear infection a week ago. Poor thing had been fussy for a few days and would just keep flicking at his ear. Not tugging or pulling or crying, just flicking. So of course, I waited probably a few more days than I should have before taking him to the doctor. Lo and behold, super infected right ear. A few days on antibiotics and he is a new kid. They did weigh him and he was 20 lb 6 oz (49%) I am guessing he will still be close to this weight in a few weeks since he had an enormously full diaper on when they did this. Poor guy just doesn't put on the weight like Ryan did. On a positive note, with B born in December and Ryan in March, since B is so much smaller, he has been able to wear all of Ryan's clothes in the appropriate seasons.

He really just makes us laugh all of the time. He tries to talk nonstop. He has so much to say and makes the most serious faces when trying to communicate. He still says MaMa, DaDa, bye, and hey-whoa (hello), but wishes he could say so much more. He is so cute when giving kisses. He takes the request very seriously and will give them repeatedly. He has learned how to spit recently and once he starts, he doesn't stop. He thinks he is hilarious. He recently has started throwing his lovey and pacifiers out of his crib in effort to make us come back in there to give them to him and delay going to bed. He's too smart for his own good.

As far as eating goes, he is still only on pouches :( We tried mashed up bananas last week and he proceeded to throw up his entire dinner. Don't know what we are going to do. My doctor suggested trying to make his food again so it is chunkier and hopefully that may be more of a transition. He has 5 teeth, so it's not like he doesn't have any. He will eat paper all day long though. On a positive note, he seems very interested in a sippy cup. He finds any way he can to get to Ryan's. It has become an obsession of his. SO maybe this won't be too hard of a transition.

He still goes to bed around 7:30 pm and wakes up about 7 am. Takes two hour and a half naps a day around 10 am and 2 pm. Eats about $6-$7 worth of pouches each day, yay! :/ and 4-5 seven oz. bottles of formula.

We recently transitioned him into a big boy car seat. It is has been a few weeks, but he is finally coming around to it. He just hates being strapped into it, but once he is in, he is usually fine.

We also took our first trip for B to the Children's museum with his best bud CJ. They had a lot fun together :)

Just like big brother, this is always the hit of the trip!

We've had a fun and busy month, despite all of the illness going around. Getting to celebrate GiGi's birthday, fun playdate with friends - Kelly and her sweet daughter Caroline, going to lots of fun first birthdays for Henry and Lucia and of course, taking the rascals to eat all of the time.

We had our family pictures taken last weekend, and it was interesting. It was a balmy 85 degrees at 5 pm, Ryan didn't want to smile, B just wanted to crawl in the grass, but that is all to be expected when trying to take pictures. All of the planning goes out the window. We did find a way to entertain B before the photographer arrived. He was in heaven!!
This was the first month that Bradley actually had fun taking his pictures. Guess all we needed was a chair!

Sorry for the picture overload, there were just so many cute ones this time :)
