This year, Halloween was so much fun because 1) This was the first year Wes has been here for it (and not in school or traveling) 2) Lil B is here now and I can dress the boys up together!

Ryan has been into Toy Story this past year, so it seemed fitting that he went as Woody and B was his sidekick, Buzz. Our neighborhood puts on a little parade where a few streets are blocked off and everyone sits at the end of their driveway passing out candy. It's such a nice set-up, safe, and most importantly - just enough houses to walk around to before everyone gets a little worn out.
Ryan wanted a repeat of last year, so CoCo, GiGi, and Christina came over to walk around with us. Ryan loves when the gang is altogether and would've preferred the entire family to be present. Maybe next year.... It is hard when Halloween is on a work night. So we had to rush to take pics to make it on time. Of course, it is never easy trying to get pics of two kids together. This was the best we could do....
Bradley was pretty tired before we even began. He is usually good to go until 7 or so, but at 5:30 he was yawning and looked like he could go to bed right then and there. Luckily, he was a trooper and after about 10 minutes of Wes holding him, he chilled in the stroller the rest of the way. Once the pacifier was in, he was good to go and not a peep came out of him for the entire hour!
Ryan was too funny. He has been so excited for Halloween for probably 2 months now. All he could talk about was trick-or-treating, getting candy, doing what we did last year, etc. I was nervous when the monsoon came through earlier in the day, that it may be cancelled, but luckily it all cleared in time and we were good to go. So, I thought for sure he would be an eager beaver and ready to score as much candy possible. Wrong. He was so shy again and would skip a house just because he didn't like the looks of it.
He warmed up as we went along and we would take turns walking up with him to ask for candy. I can't imagine if we had to walk up to their doors - we wouldn't have any candy! Then he would say in almost a whisper "trick-or-treat." He was so cute because he would tell me, "these look like nice people" and for whatever reason, he would walk up to some people, no problem. It's so sweet just how innocent he is, I know I need to soak it up. One day, he probably won't even let me go with him.

The mosquitoes got pretty bad so we called it quits after an hour. We headed home to check out the loot and order pizza. Then we stuffed our faces with the cupcakes Ryan made earlier in the week. Suffice it to say, I think this lived up to everything he had hoped it would be.
Then Bradley got a second wind, of course. He is a Mock (read: nightowl). Cutest Buzz on the block (in my humble opinion).
It was such a fun and memorable Halloween, I look forward to many more years of this together as a family!
