La Torretta

Ryan had so much fun last year at La Torretta, we decided to go back this summer. Like I've said before, the theme of this summer has been short weekend getaways close in proximity!! We went with two of my dear college friends, Kelly and Katy and their families and had a blast! It's no 5 star resort, but is just perfect for little kids. Between the pool, lazy river, splash pads, and slides it kept them pretty busy the entire weekend.

Since we spent most of the time in the water, I have very few pictures and whatever I do have is from my iPhone - oh well! We arrived after lunch Friday afternoon and spent the evening swimming and having dinner poolside.

The only shot of all four kids together. Ryan and Bradley had so much fun with Jack and Caroline!

She may only be 2, but the two of them were having full on conversations. Ryan told me they were floating down the lazy river together and she was talking to him about all sorts of things, precious!

They were pretty pooped after the first night!

Classy breakfast. The boys slept in kind of late, so we did a quick breakfast of baked goods and milk eaten on top of the cooler so we could get an early start out by the pool :)
And of course some jumping on the bed was a must. The beds were so low to the ground, B had no trouble hopping on up and going to town.
We stayed out by the pool the entire day. The kids had a blast!

Wes even let me have some girl time while the boys napped in the afternoon. Of course no girl talk is complete without virgin Pina Coladas!!! That afternoon, it seemed like a crazy storm was going to blow in, so we all packed up and headed inside and piled in the Preisler's room. The kids went nuts jumping on the bed and playing with the 3-4 toys total we had in there! They found plenty of other ways to entertain themselves by running in and out of the curtains and singing Disney songs with Kelly :) We ordered pizza to the room then called it an early night.
After baths, Wes took Ryan out for a late night swim and they had a blast. B and I rested in the room until he went to bed. We all hit the hay pretty early to prepare for another morning in the sun.
After breakfast, we headed back out to the pool to soak up a few more hours in the sun before having to head back to the room to pack. Here's my little carry on luggage :)
It was such a fun weekend catching up with friends and seeing our little ones play together, we decided to make this an annual trip for our families (and hopefully a few others that weren't able to make it!)
