He has made a HUGE improvement on eating. About 4-5 weeks ago, he would gag on anything we would give him that wasn't pureed, and now all he wants is table food. If he sees us eating anything he lunges for it, and puts just about everything he can find in his mouth. He eats like it's his job {which I guess it is at this point}. Some of his current favorites are strawberries, bread, meatballs, pasta, dried fruits, yogurt, veggie sticks, crunchy peas, beans, sweet potatoes, bananas - pretty much whatever he can find. He has already started showing some preferences, but will at least try most things. He's also started drinking some water, but just out of bottles. Guess it's time to push for the sippy cups. Here's hoping to the trend of being a good eater continues. After two not so great eaters, we could really use a break in this department. He also has 3 teeth now (and working on a fourth), so it's getting a little easier for him to chew table food.
This is famous head turn. Whenever he doesn't want to eat anymore or doesn't like what I am trying to feed him, he immediately turns his head to right and upward a bit. He's so pretentious.

| what a smug lil dude |
Finally starting to work on holding his own bottle. Most of the time it's against his will.
We finally have broke out the new table & benches {read: masterpiece} that Wes built for our deck and have eaten outside a few times. Unfortunately, the mosquitoes have been so bad we haven't been able to get out there as much as we would like.![]() |
| our sweet & happy boy |
He's such a little ham! Love to mess with him as much as we can before he can speak for himself :)

| he's such a good sport! |
Playing with his toy phone, although he would much rather have my iPhone in hand. He is obsessed with that thing and anytime he sees me with it, will lunge for it and get his feelings hurt if I take it away from him.
Speaking of lunging, the kid needs some work in the crawling department. He literally just sits in the same place while playing, and if it is not within immediate reach, will fold over like a pancake as far as he can to try and grab something. If that doesn't work, he just goes straight to screaming bloody murder.
He rocks back and forth a bit, but that's about it!! Hopefully, he'll make some moves in that department here soon. Even though he can't crawl, he is still as wild as can be. He loves to wrestle with Wes and anytime he is on the couch, his sole goal is to somehow find a way off of the couch.
Charlie's routine hasn't changed too much. We are trying as hard as we can to drop the third nap and I would say we are at about a 50/50 success rate. If we can get his first two naps spread apart and he'll actually sleep for more than an hour and a half, then usually we can power through the long evening hours. He goes to bed around 8:15, gets up about 6:30 for a bottle then goes back to bed for an hour or so. His first nap is around 10:30 and the next one usually 2:30/3 unless he's decided to sleep more or less than I would prefer! He eats 3-4 meals a day and usually 5 bottles (4-6 oz at a time). So basically, we spend all day feeding him.
I'm not too sure of his weight, but he is still in 12 months clothes and size 4 diapers. His hair is getting a lot lighter and longer (with a little bit of curl on the ends!). He clearly says DaDa all of the time and there's been an occasional MaMa here and there, mainly just if he is in distress. He's been officially moved to a rear facing convertible car seat, and Wes lowered his crib a few weeks ago. Our lil guy is growing up!
Sweet boy - loves his bathtime with his brothers.
Daddy and his little mini me enjoying some lunch
These boys sure do love each other!
Bathtime fun for all of my boys!
