Spring Wrap-up

As we head into summer, I've realized I haven't recapped little events from here and there. We've been enjoying getting outside as much as we can before temps get to 100 degrees; however, all of the rain and mosquitoes has prevented that as of late. We've been enjoying our new table and deck and B asks to eat outside at every opportunity.
The first of many afternoons and evenings at La Centerra green space. The kids hammered some gelato after running around like maniacs.
Ryan's "lost" his first tooth {more like, had it extracted}. I'll spare you the details, but basically he had a cavity and somehow cracked the tooth ever so slightly where it was infected. The tooth and gums became abscessed and before I knew it, they were pulling his tooth, putting a spacer in, and a silver cap on the tooth next to it. Ryan's "silver piece" as he calls it will most likely be with him for a good 5-6 years. Eeeek! The tooth fairy visited that evening, and needless to say, we are now flossing every.single.night!!
I went upstairs to gather laundry one day and came back down to find B "helping" or just being silly. Every single shoe or item on the floor was thrown into the washer. It was full to the brim.
Ryan's been playing t-ball this Spring and has really improved. He thinks it is pretty boring most of the time, but he's had a little more activity as of late and seems to really like it. He counts how many "catches"he gets and has pretty good throwing form.

The kids always rush to see who can get the ball first which usually results in a crazy dog pile almost every time the ball is hit.

My sweet boys enjoying the game

Summer is officially here?!?! These boys were insistent on swimming the first weekend of May, but as you can tell, they are freezing their tushes off!!
Despite the cold, they had a blast!
At the end of April, summer league swim team started up. This is by far what Ryan has been the most excited about as he has been talking about when he could join swim team since last summer. Maybe it's the swimmer in me, but I LOVE seeing how much he enjoys this. I'm excited to watch him swim this summer!
The 6 & Under group getting ready for their very first practice.
A few weeks ago, we took the boys up to the pool for one of the first times of the summer, and Wes did his famous kid toss w B.

We've been frequenting restaurants with playgrounds as much as we can lately. It seems it's the only we we can all five get out for dinner! B was caught red handed playing in the rinse station, trying to fill buckets with "mud". Clearly, he can't read.
B thinking he is funny putting on Ryan's undies.
Here's the last day of Ryan's Pre-k. I made sure to get some pics with his teachers.

He got pretty teary eyed on our walk to the car, thinking about how the year was actually over. He said he was going to miss his teachers (esp. this one below) so much and wanted to know when we'll be able to see them over the summer.
This kid, on the other hand, doesn't get too sentimental over much (at least not yet!). He is such a ham!
And now, we have the 3 week summer break before camps and schools start back up for this one. I can already tell they have a lot of pent up energy that I am clearly not letting them get out like they would at school. By the end of the day, the are so energetic, we can't get them to calm down. B is also having a hard time going down for naps some. With all the rain this past month (the most in May in history), there has been a lot of improvising around the house, trying to come up with things to do. Luckily, B has started actually watching the TV a bit more which has really helped out in a pinch. They also can play Magna Tiles for hours on end together. I am ready for some clear skies!
Now that this post is finally finished and we are already 3 weeks into summer, it's time for another update!
