I'm finally getting around to re-capping our summer and am going to start with July. We started the month by getting home from Great Wolf Lodge, going into the 4th of July weekend. We spent one day over at GiGi's house for lunch and one day at CoCo and Poppy's swimming. These outfits below were made with love by GiGi. Aren't they precious!??!
Of course, trying to get them to all smile for a picture, together, is just about impossible.

On the afternoon of the 4th, we went over our neighbors for some swimming and grilling. Once the evening rolled around, I brought Ryan back down to shoot off fireworks with his buddies. They were so cute to watch. They even helped light them some. They were obsessed with what they called, Poop Dogs. It was actually a dog that you lit his behind, and once it smoked, it released some sort of gas that looked like it was pooping. I have never seen these in my life, but it was a little too realistic for me.

We have spent quite a bit of time this summer swimming at the pool as well as my parent's pool, but it seems like a lot of the weekends we have been out of town. We were invited to our friend/neighbor/s lakehouse in East Texas again this year, and the kids had a blast.
There aren't enough words to describe this little boy's love for boats. They are on his mind all day, every day. He was in Heaven all weekend!

Wes and I kneeboarded for the first time, which was super fun.
Ryan actually kneeboarded as well. He got up on the first try and hasn't looked back ever since!
I think what Ryan was most excited for this weekend, was getting to spend a solid 48 hours with a particular someone special!
The kids roasted marshmallows and made S'mores, and I think had about 20 between the 5 of them!

B's favorite thing to do (at this point of time in the summer) was to drive the boat (that's somewhat changed now after our last trip we made to Conroe with the Correa's). "Hey Bradley, watch where you're driving!!"
We always have so much fun with them. We definitely made the most of the weekend, spending as much time as possible on the water. All of the kiddos, except Charlie, slept in one room together. They thought the big slumber party was so much fun, but they stayed up pretty late chatting and playing around. We eventually had to move B into our room. The kid doesn't know how to shut it down. So, needless to say, the kids were beat by Sunday afternoon!
The following week, Ryan did another Camp Pine Cove and had a blast. This time it was at his old preschool (where the little ones still attend), so he thought that was pretty neat.
Luckily, this time he stayed pretty healthy, so he was able to enjoy the week a lot more this go round!
I really think this camp is awesome, they do such a great job organizing it all and making it so much fun for the kids. Not to mention, it completely wears them out as well!

Late last month, my cousin from Chicago came in town with her girls, so we got a lot of the Hicks cousins and their kiddos together for a fun day of swimming at my parents' house. It was so much fun watching all of our little ones play together. Unfortunately, this was the only pic I got!
We also spent another day at my parent's swimming with my best friend Sarah and one of her kids, Henry. They were in town from Colorado (B and Henry are less than 2 months apart). We had so much fun swimming together and catching up!
Later, the following week, a few of us Zeta's got together in Houston with our kids (since Sarah was still in town). We had some kids who had never met. It had been at least two years since we had all seen each other, so it was pretty fun letting all of the kids play! Katy was brave enough to have 4 adults and 9 kids come play (read: wreck) her house!
These are all of our 2012 babies - can you believe we all have one kid that was born within 8 months of each other?!? They were all so cute and played together so well. They wanted Katy to blow up each water balloon, by mouth! We eventually stepped in to help, but they sure didn't last too long.

While Sarah was in town, we had a girls night out for dinner. Best friends for over 25 years right here! Love these two ladies so much!

What a ham!
It's been a summer of baby showers this year (not for me), but mainly my sweet sister-in-law, Alissa. Here we are at her first shower at Ouisie's Table. I seriously can't wait to become an aunt!
We also got together with one of my favorite friends and her two daughters at Noah's Ark late last month. Somehow, I didn't get any pics with them all together, but I got a few of Ryan and B playing.
We actually made a major breakthrough with B while we were there. For some reason, he decided (after quite a bit of prompting), that he could actually swim without his puddlejumper. I think it's because we were in a very shallow area that he could stand in. It gave him the confidence he needed to try because he knew he could always stand if needed. He got up to swimming about 5 yards unassisted, and can probably do about 7-8 yards now. He was even taking a breath by lifting his head. I was so proud of him!!
It's been a really fun summer with the boys and our families! Next up, our trip to the bayhouse with my family in San Luis Pass!
