We usually spend quite a bit of time during the summer in Galveston. We actually only made it down there once this summer when my parents got the company bayhouse down near San Luis Pass for a few days. We headed down on a Friday afternoon once Ryan finished up at Camp Pine Cove, and Wes met us there after work. It was actually the first time I drove all 3 by myself for over an hour and a half. It may seem like nothing, but I was nervous with Charlie sitting behind me and not having an extra set of hands to give him toys, food, water, etc. The older two watched movies, and surprisingly, Charlie just entertained himself by looking out the window at all of the cars passing by! Our first evening there, we tried our luck at fishing off of the pier!
Poppy was the only one with any luck! The kids flipped out. Wes took the fish off the hook and released him back into the water.
We finished off the evening with some cookies before bedtime.
The next day, we packed up our stuff and headed to the beach at San Luis Pass. It was such a beautiful day. The beach was empty and clean, and the water felt great! The boys loved the water, as usual.
They immediately started digging in the sand, collecting water, and getting to work on their sandcastle and digging their "pool."
Charlie was busy minding his own business, filling his bucket, pouring out, and starting it all over again.
"What are you looking at?!?!"

All the boys wanted to do once we finished it, was to run all over it and wreck it!
We headed back for late naps that afternoon because we were all beat. Once everyone was up, we took the golf cart out for a ride around the neighborhood. B had really perfected his driving skills and was practically driving the cart by himself. He definitely has a knack for it.

We spent the evening working on puzzles and playing dominoes once the kids went to bed. The next day, we got a late start, so we decided to just hangout at the house We blew up the pool, filled up the water balloons, and just hung out around the house.
They took the water balloon fight pretty seriously.

Afterward, we celebrated with some hamburgers, hot dogs, and sno-cones!

Charlie ate his on the ground, and was taking his spoon and trying to pick up the juice off of the concrete!

That night, we tried our luck at fishing again. Both me and my mom caught something, and weren't able to reel it in. My fishing pole had bent like a rainbow, but I wasn't prepared nor quick enough to bring it back! After even more drinking and eating, we headed to bed Sunday night. Wes drove into work Monday morning, and we packed up and headed home. We had such a fun weekend together; it's always a good time in Galveston!
