May Happenings

May was a whirlwind of a month. Between all of the school programs, finishing up baseball, starting Lake Forest swim team, and a few trips to the beach, it went by in a flash.

Our Friday night hangout spot. Moe's BBQ with some sidewalk chalk for the kids.

They were all about this creation.

One of our first summer trips to the beach

 sweet brothers

The water was beautiful at the beginning of the summer!
We were over in Pensacola at one of our favorite, quaint spots.
Check out this creepy snow crab!

Not sure what he was doing here! Looks like he's from the Matrix!
On the island, there are these HUGE hills that the kids love to climb.
Could easily be mistaken for a desert, ha!

After a fun day, we decided to eat some dinner near the marina. Unfortunately, we forgot clothes for Ebenezer Scrooge, I mean Charlie! Luckily, we had one of Wes' shirts for him to wear!
It doesn't matter what he wears, I could eat him up.

Our weekly outings to Urban Air never get old. I would have thought by now they would be sick of going all the time, but apparently not!

Ryan likes to attempt to ride the Sky Rider for free every time we go. He's successful about half the time, but gets excited each time they let him do it!

B thought he was ready to try the rock wall, but made it about 4-5 feet up and decided it wasn't for him.
Getting ready for Ryan's ball game.

After the boys dentist appointments, we headed to Whit's for custard one afternoon!

Bradley's t-ball team had their end of year party at the SF Town Center Park.

Spanish Fort hosted Under The Big Top to raise money for the sports association and was held on the high school football field. The kids loved it and have been asking when they will get to go back and do it again.
It was carnival/circus themed and had a lot of activities for the kids, including riding the mechanical bull.
They had a petting zoo and the kids were able to ride the ponies.
Bradley and Charlie rode those ponies over and over and OVER again!

 Face painting was a must!

Clearly, Ryan was running around with his friends the entire time, as he is in none of these pictures!

One weekend, we went back out to Pensacola to meet our friends, the Hedges. They have 3 precious girls pretty similar in age to our boys. Their middle daughter and B went to preschool together the past two years.

The best pic we ended up with of all 6 kids
Me and the boys on Mother's Day. I wasn't feeling well, but we all decided to at least go out for lunch. So thankful for these 3!
Waiting in the car on dad while he was picking up fresh seafood to cook that evening.
The police visited the preschool one day. This picture cracks me up because not only does he match the colors, his hair is a disaster, and he totally looks the part.
Let's hope we never have to experience this scenario in real life!

Our favorite sitter, Julia, keeping the boys on her last night before heading to Auburn for school!
Julia kept Ryan and Charlie that evening, so we could take B out for graduating from preschool since Wes wasn't able to attend the program. We surprised him that night once Julia showed up, and he was beyond excited to be out and about just on his own.
We let him get the silly drink in the expensive souvenir cup! He was on cloud 9 all night. We sat on the patio overlooking the bay at Ed's and watched this crazy storm roll in.
He was worried about the rain, but didn't let it get him down.
Enjoying some massive dessert that he ate mostly on his own. It was so sweet to just spend the evening with him and have one on one time with our B!
One day while doing some exercises after a jog, Charlie got a hold of my sliders and was mimicking me doing slider V-ups!
Not too bad if I do say so myself!
We had a crawfish boil with our neighbors in May, and had so much fun we didn't take too many pictures!

B doing what B does best - birthday party-ing it up!
And the pool days are just beginning....

Just living his best life!

Up next....end of school for everyone!
