Start of summer

Summer got started in full swing with swim team. I would say our June was mainly spent in or at the water! The first week started off with a visit from GiGi which was a welcome sight as it was probably the longest we had gone without seeing family since moving here! I think we had only been out of school for 10 days and I was already going crazy trying to entertain them and stop them from constantly fighting!

 Charlie started off the summer with swim lessons with Ms. Carol. He was a little apprehensive at first, but after the first one or two, he settled right in.

  There was a sandbar about 20-25 yards off of the beach that you could actually walk to, so the kids were loving the freedom of going back and forth.

 GiGi was convinced to go join them in their shenanigans. 

 What a gorgeous view, I think it rivals the Caribbean for sure!

  A long day of fun in the sun usually results in sleepy boys on the boat ride back

 When Ryan conks out, you know it was a good day!

 GiGi was so sweet to keep the boys for a solid 24 hours so Wes and I could get away for a bit. We headed into Mobile for the day/night of a lot of eating and lounging while the boys enjoyed an afternoon at the park!

 The trips always go by so quickly it seems, but we had so much fun!

   

 Charlie finished up his second week of lessons and pretty much transformed into a legit swimmer.

 He pretty much refused to turn on his back last year and still fought it some this past summer, but for the most part complied when told!

Our first swim meet was an intrasquad meet at the LF pool. Bradley killed it and even got the heat winner a few times which pretty much made his week. It was crazy to see his improvement from the championship meet in March up to June!

 Charlie got a little sick over the summer, but you couldn't tell from his sweet smile! Luckily it was just a 24-26 hour virus, but he passed it to both boys of course on the week of VBS!!

 The boys got really into playing Sorry this summer, mainly because it was something easy for Charlie to be included in on. It definitely got the boys more interested in learning new games and now we play games a few nights a week.

 One of the only days they all 3 made it to VBS! Loved the shirts this year!

  Just another day at the pool. The amount of muscle they have put on this year is insane to me!

 Goofing around one summer evening while P was over to play.  

   We went out with our friends, the Cochrans, for my birthday. Loved this restaurant and had such a fun time celebrating!

 We had another fun weekend on the water with the Hedges!

  

Sweet boys! And B in a swim cap was hilarious! It lasted all of 5 minutes.

 Charlie decided after watching Pierson try LF for one day, that he would also be joining the swim team.

 So as one of only two 3 year olds on the team, he gave it a shot and joined mid-season.

  It was a fight most days, but in the end he pretty much was self sufficient in the water.

 He's 100% confident in the water, but we still make him wear his puddle jumper from time to time.

 Starting them earlier with each kid. I think Ryan started swim at 5, B at 4 and now Charlie!

  We had a girls weekend in Orange Beach and spent the evening at the Florabama. So thankful for these awesome friends I have made here!
