January wrap-up

The second half of January was just as busy as the first few weeks. We had a swim meet over in Pensacola where the boys did really well, especially on Saturday. B moved up a lane in December where he started practicing with the older kids, most of them being 8/9 years old, and in a few weeks time, it made a drastic difference in his endurance! Here are just a few videos of their races (ignore my annoying voice in most of them!).

We decided to stay the night after the meet instead of driving home and back again early the next morning. We went to try McGuire's which is a pretty popular place that's been around forever. The kids had home-brewed root beer in legit mugs and thought they were pretty cool!

 Sooooo, our plan to get a good night's rest for Sunday did not go as planned. We all slept AWFUL and were exhausted the next morning. Multiple kids were up at different times in the night and we all felt beat the next morning. We had breakfast at the hotel and headed over to the pool anyway! Buzz of course picked out the messiest treat possible after one of his races.

 Here's a few more videos from Sunday. Unfortunately, Ryan was pretty beat but still did well nonetheless.

 We had already planned Bradley's birthday party for that afternoon so we hurried home, picked up the cookie cake and turned around to head to Urban Air!

 When we got home, of course, he wanted to open his gifts immediately. One of the few things he asked for were tank tops for the summer. Naturally, the Harrell's did not disappoint and got him not one, but two tanks!! He was pretty excited

 The following weekend, I left on a girls trip to Nashville!

 We had the best time eating, enjoying cocktails, girl talk and just getting away!

 They are they best and I'm not sure how I'd survive without them!

 We did our first ever Pedal Party through Nashville and had a blast. We laughed and drank more than we pedaled, but had a great time!

 One of our pit stops on the party was at an arcade bar!

We had the best time! Can't wait for the next one.

 Kindergarten celebrated 100 days of school at the end of January. I thought this pic was hilarious and freakishly realistic!

They dressed up as old people for the 100th day parade at the school.

 We re-purposed that Willy Wonka cane and put some baby powder in his hair. He definitely looked the part.
