February fun!

February wrapped up basketball and short course swim season for us. So a lot of our weekends were spent at sporting events.

Charlie took up a major affinity to bell peppers. I bought them for a stir fry or something and he wanted to try a bite. Next thing I knew, he was eating them whole and even started taking them to school in his lunch. He was eating us out of house and home with them, so we decided to start growing our own!

Our bowling alley recently installed a climbing wall that the boys have loved!

Wrestling has become a favorite pastime with the boys. They play fight all day long and a lot of times someone ends up hurt. Guess that is to be expected with 3 boys!

We had a failed eye doctors appointment one morning in which Wes took off work, we drove to Mobile, the works, all to basically have to leave once we found out it would take nearly 2 hours to see the doctor which would not allow me to get Charlie from preschool in time. So we opted for a nice lunch at the top of Dauphin's for a special date with B!

This is about the highest point in downtown Mobile, and it overlooks the river as well as the rest of downtown. He felt really special and it was really nice to spend some one on one time with just him.

We rounded out our free membership year at Urban Air with a few visits before we had to start paying to actually go!!! We had so many unused punches, they let the boys upgrade a few visits that way they were able to do the skyrider! B was so pumped and a little scared, but then so happy he did it.

Charlie's class had their Valentine's party which are always so cute and sweet.

We took the kids from the party and headed over to the SF Town Park with a lot of the kids from his class. They had a pretty fun, impromptu playdate.

B's teacher sent this video to me one day and it melted me. He was helping a friend with some work and she thought it was too sweet not to capture. Love her for always sharing with the parents and was really proud of him.

Ryan and Bradley were chosen to help deliver a lot of donated goods to various police stations and fire stations in Mobile and Spanish Fort for a service project the school had come together to do.

Of course, he would be with his best buddy while doing it!

They had such a fun time!

Another month, another skate day in the books. This time, B and Barrett got best friend necklaces and they were obsessed. They kept linking them up every chance they got.

The boys had their big short course championships in Pensacola in mid-February.

One of their favorite parts of swim meets, is the food. They eat all the snacks and love getting junk from the concession stands.

One of Ryan's best races ever. I was so proud of him and how he pulled it out in the end to win the entire event.

And this was B's best event ever. He was bound and determined to do a no breather. We put zero pressure on him to do so and just told him whenever he wanted to take a breath, to just do it. We knew about 75% of the way in, he was going to do it. He was so proud of himself, as were we! This kid can do anything he puts his mind to and I love it.

Because of his stellar performance, he was called up to the A relay with Ryan and two other really fast buddies. Here is Luke giving him a pep talk before it was his time to go. It was pretty cute.

They killed it and ended up winning the 8&U Medley Relay!!

Not sure when this was, but anytime he takes a nap or falls asleep anywhere but his bed, is worth documenting. He never wants to slow down for anyone or anything, but sometimes just crashes.

Kindergarten puts on a Dr. Seuss program in March to celebrate Dr. Seuss' birthday. B decided he wanted to be Thing 1, so I found this pretty sweet wig at Party City and he wanted to try it on.

We headed over one evening to Juniper Lily to watch one of the Daphne Mardi Gras parades. The kids ate dinner in the back of the trucks while waiting for the parade to start.

No sooner than basketball and swim ended, soccer and t-ball started up. Charlie decided to try his first stab at sports this spring with Daphne Strike and was pretty excited. Purchasing all the gear is one of the most exciting parts of starting a new sport. He was pretty pumped about his new soccer ball.

Ryan was really excited to give soccer another try. After back to back seasons of baseball for years, he was ready to go back to soccer and see if he enjoyed it. And needless to say, he LOVED it!

Charlie definitely looked the part alright. Just needs to learn how to listen to the coach!!

One last trip to Urban Air and one more time around the skyrider for free!

The boys rounded out the month with their annual Mardi Gras swim practice where they work for beads and end with King Cake. They look forward to it every year and they don't realize it, but they are still working just as hard if not harder than normal!
