Busy Bee

Ryan has been celebrating a bunch of his friend's birthdays over the past month. We went to one of his friend's birthday parties earlier this month and ever since then, all he talked about was his birthday. For 3 or 4 weeks, while I was making things for his party and filling up our guest room with birthday party decor, he would talk about his "birthday party on Sunday." Everything he would see for the party, he would touch it, and look at me and ask "birthday party?" It was really cute. I forgot to bring my camera to some of the parties, but here are a few pics from a couple of them. This was Raegan's party at Pump it Up. He is usually pretty cautious, but for whatever reason, he let his guard down and tried out everything. At first he would want me to follow him around, but he eventually just took off on his own and had no fear.

the birthday girl!
This past Sunday, another friend of his from school, Finn, also turned 2 and had a Choo Choo train themed party. This was right up Ryan's alley, so he had a lot of fun. They rented a little train that rode us around the neighborhood and Ryan had a wonderful time!
This has been the only time we have been able to get him to wear a hat, pretty much ever besides during the winter. We told him to ride the train, he needed to wear his conductor's hat.

The birthday boy, Finn!

Throwing a fit because it was time to leave.
We have to leave, are you kidding me?!
Two of his friends from his class, both of which he loves to talk about at home!

Right before we left, we gave in against our better judgement since it was so close to nap time, and gave him a cupcake. We went through about 3 and the last one, he dropped on the ground, so we knew it was time to leave.
It's been a lot of fun celebrating with all of his friends recently since we don't get to see them interact too much with each other outside of school. It is pretty cute how at such a young age they enjoy each other's friendship.
