Sunday morning, when Ryan got up, he went outside to see the eggs the Easter bunny hid for him. The first one or two were in plain sight, so that he would slowly learn the game, but it took him no time to figure out hunting eggs. He immediately picked it up, opened it, ate what was inside, and put the empty eggs in his basket. Luckily, the bunny only filled the eggs with nilla wafers, cheez-its, and yogurt raisins, so he didn't go crazy on some sugar high.
He looked so funny carting his little bucket around like a purse!
We then got dressed and headed to church. We got there right on time, dropped him off in the nursery where he screamed bloody murder because it's not his normal room and teachers from MDO, and then proceeded to the Sanctuary. We then learned that we were about 10-15 people too late and the usher told us we had to sit in an overflow room. Watching the service on a projector was not exactly what I had in mind, but we still enjoyed it and realize that was not all that important. When we got home, Ryan got to see his Easter basket full of stuff for him to do outside.
Once again, has the purse action going on.
Both of my grandmothers were able to join us and loved watching Ryan hunt for eggs!
This is the best family pic we could get. Ryan was too enthralled with the eggs to look at the camera.
We ate a yummy lunch and then watched the Masters for the rest of the afternoon. Ryan was just as lazy as the rest of us after he woke up from his nap.
The weekend was the perfect way to celebrate Easter :)
