Sasser Party

Last weekend, Wes' grandmother celebrated her 83rd birthday. Quite a few of his relatives traveled in from Missouri, and almost the entire family was able to make it. Ryan had a lot of fun playing with his second cousins. They played trains, bubbles, and even went fishing in the backyard!

This was Ryan's second time to go fishing. Not five minutes in, did I hear that he had actually caught a decent size turtle. Yikes. Wes said it was about 6-8 inches in diameter and the hook had been caught in its mouth. Woops. They quickly tried to save him and toss him back in. Then, with a little help, he caught quite a big fish! He was pretty excited until they got it out and then he didn't want to be near it!

We all enjoyed some wonderful barbeque and watching all of the little ones have a good time.

Almost the entire Sasser family. For some reason, I am the only one looking a bit off here, with my head cocked to the side (guessing B was pulling my hair!).

Kristi made a beautiful cake and we all devoured it! B especially enjoyed singing Happy Birthday to Grandma. What a fun day with family!
