I recently realized, I haven't blogged in a while and have a lot to catch up on from the past 6-8 weeks. Bradley had donuts with dad at school recently. Unfortunately, Wes wasn't able to make it so Charlie and I went in his place. Charlie was loving stealing all of B's donuts.
We got to go in to chapel and stay for music and movement. It was really cute watching all of the kiddos listen to the Bible story and sing all of their songs.
They got to dance to the music while playing instruments and popping bubbles.
Enjoying the boxes from Amazon
Ryan participated in Boosterthon, a fun run type of fundraiser, for their school back in October. The kids raised money by pledging how many laps they could run and received prizes along the way based on their pledges. He was pretty excited when the time came for the day of the run.
Warming up before the run.
After the race. All of the kids ran the max number of laps which was 35. They were all pretty worn out by the end of it, but had so much fun!We took a little mini trip to Galveston in mid October for Wes' cousin's wedding. We rented a little condo for the weekend, and the kids had so much fun. They have never attended a wedding or any event similar prior to this weekend. On Friday night, we went to the rehearsal dinner at Gaido's, where they kept calling it a dinner party. They had quite a good time and actually very well behaved (other than Charlie needing to be held the entire dinner).
Typical Charlie
The wedding was held on his aunt and uncle's property that's on the water. It was really pretty and a lot of fun. They had little flashlights for people to use when walking about the property and an area set up outside of the tents on the tennis courts for sitting (the kids use it as their personal playground). They had a blast shining the lights and running around and of course eating a bunch of desserts!
As you can see, B is still rocking the patch. He's overdue for a check-up, but we can tell the issue is by no means resolved (and really not sure if it has gotten any better over the past year).
I was able to be a chaperon for the Kindergarten field trip in October to Dewberry Farm. There had been some crazy weather the day before and morning of the trip, so a lot of schools ended up cancelling (worked out great for us). We've actually never been there, but will probably never go during crowded weekend times after experiencing it this way. Their class of 100 had nearly the entire farm to themselves. They were able to do just about everything. From the hayride, to picking their own pumpkin, walking through the pumpkin-lit barn, to the petting zoo, trampolines, and games - they did it all and had a blast. Here is Mrs. G's Kinder class.
Some of the class insisted on climbing on the huge rocking chair.
The duck races were a hit!
Ryan and his best little girlfriend! On the plus side, she is also our neighbor. They are pretty smitten with each other. They draw houses of where they are going to live once they get married. She is always drawing him a picture of the "Best Friend" heart we all had growing up. It's super cute.
We also celebrated our nanny's birthday recently. The boys helped bake her a cake. We are so thankful for Yami (Charlie even cries when she leaves for the day)!!
Ever since Charlie became interested in the car, B has a new found love for it as well (doesn't it always work that way!). He takes his driving pretty seriously, you would think he's actually headed somewhere!
Love this pic. It's from a random afternoon at La Centerra, but it captures Charlie's personality just perfectly!
This is a new game around our house. I caught them doing this the other day and could hear Bradley telling Ryan, "we need to go change your poop diaper Ryan!" One time I even caught Ryan on the actual changer (surprised it didn't break!). Charlie has to get in on the action as well. Luckily, Ryan is such a good sport about it all. Bradley has coined it, the Potty Accident Game!
Charlie thinks it's time to hop on top of Ryan and beat on his chest.
He loves Ryan so much, it's precious. I would say in his order of obsessions it goes Wes (by a landslide), Ryan, other family members, probably 50 random strangers, then me! I guess 2 out of 3 momma's boys isn't too bad!
