End of school year/ May wrap-up

Still trying to get caught up. I'll just put these right here......
Seriously, how do preschool pics always turn out the absolute best?!!?
 They just kill me!!!!
Pretty cute in his t-ball uniform
At the beginning of May, the boys had an end of year program at their preschool where thy sang songs and told stories together as a class.
Bradley's class has just been precious. The moms of these kiddos have been some of the sweetest friends I've met since moving here.

Bradley performing his speaking part of their "play"

They brought in the little ones part way through the program so that they didn't have to stand the entire time.

His little hands behind his back :)
Surprisingly, there were no tears. He took his role very seriously.
 Cutie patootie
He clapped and sang along the entire time

I just couldn't get enough of him.
They brought everyone together for one final song.
Here are a few clips of some of the songs the boys sang.

After their performance, they took us to their classrooms for their art show. The teachers did an amazing job getting the classes ready and I was shocked at how much neat stuff they had prepared. Charlie's teacher even had him catch up on a few art pieces he had missed throughout the year.

 Being a ham
 Charlie, being Charlie
   Finally!
I headed over to Bradley's classroom while Charlie had a snack to check out all of the cool things they had done. The one in the upper right was my favorite!

His teacher sent a few pics from the last weeks of school of the kiddos playing together.

Loved their sweet class. I hope that most of them get to stay together next year!

We had a few more baseball games to round out the first part of the month. Charlie looked too cute this particular night.

They can only do this when dad is pushing the basket. I am not strong nor brave enough to attempt this!
We went to sign up Ryan for summer league swim team one Saturday afternoon, and came home with this. In case you can't tell, it's B in a swim team bathing suit! He convinced us to join the team that day. Mind you, he had only swam the length of the pool unattended about 3-4 times ever and only in the past few weeks, but they watched him attempt to swim and said okay! I'll give more updates as to how swim team has been going, but I'll say, this kid is one determined little dude.
We had Bradley's end of year t-ball team party at the minor league stadium. We went to watch a Mobile Bay Bears game with his team one Sunday afternoon. He was a little nervous about going down on the field and the mascots, but luckily our coach convinced the people who worked there to let Wes go with them.
There they are for the National Anthem!
The best part of attending sports games, the snacks!
A baseball game wouldn't be complete without some cotton candy!
He was really getting into it.

And he was really getting into his cotton candy!
They played their last game the next day and finally got one picture of them together.

We went with some friends we had met on Bradley's baseball team to a place called Alligator Alley one day. There was sooooo many gators there, I had the heebee jeebees.

Bradley watched one of his buddies hold a baby gator and all of a sudden, was doing it himself. I was so shocked. The woman who worked there said they just get the babies our of their little pond, tape their mouth shut, and there you go. She said that the gators liked the warmth which is why they don't mind being held. I touched it and it was so different feeling than I thought it would be. They are so soft, not hard at all, and she said this wasn't just because they were a baby. This was how all of them felt, very interesting!

After walking through the park and seeing the HUGE, older ones, we came back to watch a feeding. It was pretty cool listening to this guy tell us all about them.
After we got back from Panama City Beach, the kids only had a few days left of school. On the last day, our neighbors invited us to a splash pad nearby for a water balloon fight. The boys had a blast!

We headed to one of our first swim team practices afterward that afternoon. One of Bradley's friends from school has a brother on swim team. So she and Charlie play together some.
This particular day, he was putting the moves on her!
One of B's first swim practices ever. He loves being with "big" kids and talks about how fun swim team is.
Charlie was brave one day and wanted to wear underwear. He was so proud of himself. Fast forward to the end of the day and 5 pairs of underwear later, and we have been back in diapers. I need to get my act together though since he really needs to be trained by the time he starts back at school. What's funny is that when he has to go #2, if we are at home, he has no problem using the toilet. He's just a stubborn little dude and hates being told what to do.

Memorial Day weekend was a fun filled 4 days for us. We started out Friday evening in Daphne for dinner, followed by custard at our new favorite spot, Whit's.

The next morning, we headed to the beach. I think we were asking who was excited for the beach!

Well, the weather had different plans for us. About an hour after we got set-up, a storm rolled in out of nowhere!

We tried to wait it out, but it wasn't happening. So after lunch, we headed home and decided to go BACK to Whit's that night!

A little patriotic jog before having our friends the Hill's over on Memorial Day!
We had our friends over for lunch and then went to a place about 10 minutes from our house where they could drop their boat in. We went and pulled the boat up to this little man-made beach where the boys had so much fun!

They brought this tube to pull behind the boat, but the kids had a different plan. They took it up to the top of this sand hill and let the dads pull them down while riding on it. It actually looked like a lot of fun.

We did eventually pull them all behind the boat. We had a pretty fun 4 day weekend to kick off summer!
