At the end of June, the Correa and Zakarian family came to visit us! We planned a trip to Gulf Shores and all 13 of us stayed in a beach house together for 4 days! Of course, Tropical Storm Cindy came rolling in the day everyone was arriving. We got extremely lucky and weren't affected too much. The first night there was a lot of wind and rain, so this is how we occupied the kiddos (the Correas flew in later that evening).
It's like no time had passed at all!

I about died when I saw Zoe had the same sleepsack as Charlie!! He likes to pretend to pout a lot, and she was concerned and went to check on him.

The next day, we still felt the effects of Cindy. We got in a little beach time and a little pool time between the rain. Luckily, it was only rain, so it didn't stop us from much.
The wind was giving Charlie some crazy hair!

The rain was about to start heading our way, but it didn't stop us quite yet.
We headed in right after this, as it started to pour!
That afternoon, Nancy and I took a super rainy walk on the beach. We then attempted the pool for a bit, but after getting hammered by rain, we decided it wasn't worth it. The girls went to dinner that night while the boys stayed back with the kids. The next day, it was beautiful out! After we all finished breakfast, which let me tell you, was about 7:30 am, we headed down to the beach.

That afternoon was on repeat. Lunch, kids nap, girls took a walk on the beach, and then we all headed to the pool. That evening was guys night, which may or may not have included some late night karaoke!! The moms felt like we won as well because the kids actually went to bed without us having to go in the boys' room 10,000 times to tell them to go to bed. So, we had a quiet evening to ourselves with our Prosecco! Our final full day at the beach was just gorgeous and relaxing!!
That evening, after beach walks and pool time, we braved all of us going out to dinner. We headed down to the Tacky Jacks in Ft. Morgan where it wasn't all too bad! The food was great and no one melted down!
Finally, he smiles once he's all by himself!
When we got home that evening, some of the kids and adults took a walk on the beach. Charlie and I stayed back as he was done for by that point in time!
They found an awesome sand bar to go play on. Looked pretty cool from the pics. The kids didn't stop talking about it for weeks.
I think this may have been the highlight of the trip for Ryan and B!
On Saturday morning, the Zakarians packed up to drive home and the rest of us headed down to Orange Beach. We have had the itch to do more boating since we moved here and recently decided the best way for us to enjoy it was to join a boat club. So far, we are loving it. There are a quite a few locations we can go to along the Alabama/Florida coast and we can try out different boats as well. Here's our captain on his first outing!

We went and docked at the Flora-bama for lunch to show the Correas one of our favorite places.
The kids love taking turns driving with Wes. I've even tried my hand at it a few times and it's pretty fun. I am finding that I'm having a little trouble with sea-sickness, but hopefully that will get better soon.
We went and docked over at Robinson Island that afternoon to let the kids swim and play on the sand. It seemed only fitting that our first outing would be with the Correas as we have spent so many weekend at their lakehouse on their boat the past few years!
It was such a fun trip and we just loved spending time with some of our best friends! Can't wait to plan next years trip!!
