We started off summer with a visit from CoCo. About a week after school let out, she came to stay with us for a week. Wes happened to have off the Friday she was here, so we headed down to Orange Beach for the day. We had a lot of rain while she was here (and apparently, it hasn't stopped since), but it held off for this one day, so we loaded up and headed down. We found an awesome little beach right at Perdido Pass inside the key where the currents aren't very strong, so it's perfect for the kids.`
He's pretty proud of himself as he was piling the sand on him by himself after we got him started, of course!
Ryan wanted in on the action, so CoCo helped bury them all!
After a few good hours in the sun, we headed over to one of our favorite restaurants, Fisher's Dockside. They have these awesome Wiki Sticks that the kids can use to mold things and play with. We made Charlie some glasses!
Looking dapper!
My handsome, big boy. I swear he gets darker by the day!
Tried for a group shot but between B being, well B, and the bad shadow, it was a lost cause! One day after baths, I caught Ryan with my phone and found out later, they took some selfies to see their hair-do.
the best!
One of the rainy days while my mom was here, we decided to take the boys bowling. It was all fun and games until I told them no Icee that day!Charlie decided to go pout over by the bar by himself!
After bowling, we drove down to Fairhope for lunch at Panini Pete's! This is a glimpse of a new face Charlie has adopted. He scrunches his nose up and squints one eye at just about anything these days!
Here are my precious swimmers before picture day! Seriously, sometimes I want to eat them!!!!
Annnnnnd then there's the grouch!
Getting ready for his first swim meet!!
Much happier now that food was brought out!
At the ready bench, ready to go!
Here he is swimming his first 25 yd free, ever! I was so stinkin' proud of him. He's the only 4 year old on the team and ended up beating the other 5 boys in his heat!!!
He gave it his best shot at backstroke as well!
Here's Ryan doing a few of his as well from their first meet.
Had to capture a sweet moment of these two playing together and getting along. They are few and far between these days!
I took Charlie to toddler time at the library the week the older two were doing VBS at the church. He loved it!
My birthday was on a Friday that Wes was off and some of our favorite friends and neighbors from Katy were in Gulf Shores for vacation. We headed down to meet them at the beach for the day. They too, have 3 boys, so it's literally a match made in Heaven! Here are a few of them goofing around before going down to the beach!
Teaching the Templeton boys the ways of digging massive holes!
Seriously, our best attempt at a group shot of all 6 of them!
Love these two! We sure do miss them!
We went to have dinner at LuLu's after a long day of swimming! We hadn't been before, but loved it!So sweet! They got a cake for my birthday! Can't wait to see them in a few short weeks!
We had another swim meet bright and early the next morning!
Their favorite part of meets, junk food!! I think they are chowing down on nachos right now.
That night, we had date night at Dauphin's in downtown Mobile! It was delicious.
Such a cool view of the city at sunset.
Here we go again, more swimming!
Doing their team cheers before the meet began.
Bradley hanging in there on the backstroke! Poor kid always gets hung up on the lane ropes! They go through phases of wanting to use deodorant. We are currently in the phase. They think it's hilarious!
Putting it on each other is apparently hilarious
The last week of June, Ryan attended a really neat art camp at 5 Rivers Delta, where the theme was Delta Blues. Everything they did was around the Blues theme. Here is all of his artwork displayed for the art show.
So proud of our little artist!
Next up, our week in Gulf Shores with the Zakarian and Correa clans!
