Great Wolf Lodge - 2019

We headed out of town for a few days over Mardi Gras break to Great Wolf Lodge. Our last visit in the fall had the unexpected fire alarm at 1 am which turned out to be quite lucrative as they gave us 40% off our next stay, so we decided it was time to go back when the kids had a few days off of school!

2019 vs 2016
This is definitely one of the kids favorite destinations as we always have the best time, and it's completely geared toward them!

Showing off his athletic abilities!

Charlie could play on this structure the entire time. What's funny, is when we went 6 months prior, he was terrified of it because of the huge bucket of water that drops every few minutes. He got over that fear and has now learned to navigate around it!

Some of our friends ended up driving up for part of the weekend and the kids had a blast together. It was great for the older boys, especially, because they could go slide on their own and have a little bit of freedom not waiting around on the little ones the entire time.
All of the boys! Savvy wasn't in the picture taking mood.
It really was a lot of fun having our friends around, we said we need to go back next school break!

The wave pool is always a hit!

Just horsing around. Charlie trying to tackle Ryan!
It doesn't take much to make this little guy happy.

Looking so old here!
All my boys :)
One afternoon, Ryan and Wes decided to take on the ropes course, while I took the B and C to the arcade. Everyone got what they wanted, as the kids always love some video games! Buzz is a natural at ski ball!

This game proved to the big hitter and was giving us all sorts of tickets, so naturally, B wanted to keep playing this one!
Very serious!
This Ropes Course is not your normal course; it's multi-level and pretty intense. The guys didn't even do the highest one available and it was still a ways up there.
I was proud of them for doing it because it was no joke!
Sometimes pretending is just as fun as playing when they can't tell the difference!
Breaking for a quick pic!
Action shot. Apparently, at one point they wanted to give up, but I don't think there was really a way to turn around.
We finished up with some air hockey and then deliberated over how to spend the tickets for a solid 10 minutes, but they all got some really cool junk (in their minds, at least)!

A little pre-dinner pic with the boys!

Before heading out to dinner, they participated in a little limbo action.

Forever giving a thumbs up in his pics!
Couldn't love them more!

Charlie going under the limbo stick was one of my favorites. The inner struggle with trying to do it properly, but also wanting to clear the stick was apparently weighing on his decision on how to approach it!

Having a little dessert in the room before bed on our last night.
The last morning, we got up and spent a few hours at the park before heading home. I think we knocked out about 12-15 slides in less than an hour as it was not crowded at all as soon as it opened! I was beat from climbing those stairs over and over and over!!! Wes and I even conquered the drop slide where you stand in the clear tube that reminds me of the Hunger Games and they count down before releasing you straight down!! It was actually pretty fun, and Ryan said he's going to try it next time we go back!
The love trying to master the lily pads! And they've definitely gotten them figured out.

Ryan's apparently gotten a little too tall for them.

One last lap around the lazy river.
And that's a wrap, we're all beat!!
Always a fun time and about the most fun you can jam pack into 48 hours without really having to leave the place!!! The kids are already planning their return visit.
