Summer shenanigans

July, was much like June, in the sense we spent it out in the sun as much as possible. We decided to stay home 4th of July weekend since we had just gotten home from Watercolor.

Charlie gained a new obsession with tank tops this summer and wanted to wear them each and everyday if possible.
Headed to the pool for a 4th of July pool party.

Some of the kids being silly with probably their 7th popsicle of the day.

Charlie doing what he does best at swim practice, eating all the snacks.
Took the boys bowling one day after swim.
B taking his game very seriously.
Charlie was getting really into it and excited every time he did well.
Everybody was into it!
Woo Hoo!

We also took the kids to the Bay Minette Municipal pool one day. Of course after about an hour after being there, a storm rolled in. We took the party inside for some treats, but determined it was best to go home and come back a different day.

Of course we spent many afternoons at Urban Air. B got up the courage to try the ropes course. After one failed attempt, he was adamant to go back and do it. I have to admire his determination.

One of the workers was so sweet to basically get up there with him and help him navigate each obstacle.
Watching him gain confidence throughout made me so proud!

He was ecstatic once he finished and totally on cloud 9. He couldn't wait to get home and tell Wes.
Ryan loves when we go and he's able to get on this ride!
We implemented a pretty strict laundry regiment over the summer. Ryan does clothes, B does socks and undies, and Charlie folds the wash cloths! Charlie takes it pretty seriously.
Ryan and B got into learning Cat's Cradle this summer, as well. I was impressed how quickly they picked it up!
Ryan doing Jacob's Ladder.
B was invited to one of his sweet girl friends from preschool, Camilla's, birthday party. It was a dress-up/tea party. He was the only boy there and completely embraced every aspect of it.
He got his nails painted with glitter.
Bradley's always been a big fan of the ladies.

Comparing nail colors with the girls.

They got to walk the catwalk to fun music in their outfit. Luckily they had outfits for boys, so he chose to wear a cape!
Too sweet!

Once it was time for the birthday girl to dance, she asked for B to dance with her. It was the cutest.

Then it was time for the tea party, and B partied like a champ. He had such a great time!
And talked about this party for weeks! Love how he can have the best time wherever he is, no matter what he is doing.

They didn't have pictures this year for swim team, so I decided to take a few on my own!

Wanted him to show me that little Lake Forest booty!

Resting for his big, inaugural race (with Nerds, of course)!
He and P spotted a frog and couldn't stop chasing it down.

B told me one evening that month, that he thought he had a loose tooth. I totally did not believe him, until I felt for myself, and sure enough, it was pretty dang loose.
Another riveting game of Sorry!
Just a typical day, B shotgunning his drink from Chick-Fil-A
We made an early morning trip with the Cochrans over to Pensacola one Friday to watch the Blue Angels dress rehearsal.

They had a blast jumping around and playing until the show started.

It was one of the most impressive shows I've ever seen. I think the adults were way more into it than the kids.

We read up on the a lot on the way home, and I think the planes fly only 18 inches apart from one another. It's insane!

On the way out of the bay, we stopped at a friend of the Cochran's house for the kids, and let's be honest, adults too, to ride on the HUGE slide.

It was by far the most fun inflatable slide I had ever been on.

We made the hour and a half ride home on the boat that evening and we were all wiped!
We all were pretty starving so made a late dinner stop in Orange Beach before heading home that night. The kids were troopers as I think it ended up being almost a 14 hour day from beginning to end.

More swim meet fun. Love the friendship these 3 share.
And these 3, that's a different story. Can always count on them to stir things up!
But they sure are cute!

Charlie did his best to try and swim, but his goggles fell off once he dove in and that just set him off. We ended up pulling him out of the water.
Some fast dudes!

He was pretty proud of this. We had to stay so he could get a legal time in Breaststroke and not only did he swim it correctly, but he won his heat. He went nuts!
They spent quite a few mornings at the Y before swim practice this summer. I snuck up on them a few times and caught B playing pool with other kids. I don't know why but I thought it was hilarious!
Little pool shark

We had a photo session of me taking pics of Charlie holding play can food from his kitchen one afternoon.
We spent another weekend in Pensacola with the Hedges.

Ryan drove us for quite a bit and did awesome!
They can never get enough of the sand hill!

Always a good time with their girls. The kids get along so well together.

It was a jam packed July, with more still to come!
