Fall Break - Part 2 Great Wolf Lodge

We headed out Sunday morning to La Grange as the kids were dying to get to the water park. They had the hotel all for Halloween, it was really neat.

Got this pic of the boys and had taken one very similar about 2.5 years earlier
Summer 2016 at the GW in Grapevine, TX

They were ready to hit the park as soon as we got there.
Can't believe how grown he looks here.
Charlie loves playing basketball, but needed Wes' assists!
They were bound and determined to conquer this and that they did, with no problem at all.

Surfing the waves in the wave pool

They thought they were so sneaky blasting us with the water.
Real life Tarzan

Obligatory shot of the 3 of them, Charlie is clearly thrilled.

Abs for days!
The sweetest!
The kids enjoy all of the activities they offer. They do a story time and dance party in the evening.

I think Ryan is starting to feel a little old for some of the activities, but overall he's still a pretty good sport all around.

Having a little ice cream for dessert after story time.
We all went to bed at a pretty decent time as we were pooped from the full day of activities. Sometime after midnight, the fire alarm begins to sound. It took a minute to realize what it was, but we eventually figured out we needed to evacuate. The kids had some difficulty waking up, but once they did they got upset pretty quickly. A mix of emotions from being tired and scared, but we made it down the stairs and outside along with the rest of the hotel. It was pretty chilly and we were all in PJs, but Wes had brought the car keys, so we went and sat in our car while they hashed it all out. I think it was about an hour in total when we were finally allowed back in, but the alarm was still going off and B was very upset, so back outside we went. I think we got everyone back in bed asleep by 2 am when it was all said and done.

The next morning, however, we were all still pretty tired. We started off strong in the morning, but by about lunch time, everyone was worn out. Come to find out some teenager pulled the alarm in the middle of the night!
It didn't deter them from repeating all the same activities from the day before.

He loved running back and forth over the fountains
Bradley took a turn as Tarzan

Working hard to spray us!
After an mid-day nap, we opted for some arcades and trick or treating around the hotel.

Finally, a genuinely happy pic of the 3 of them!

They set up stations around the property for the kids to go trick-or-treating and they loved that!

We made a stop by the gift store so they could pick out some souvenirs
Then we headed over to Bingo in the Lobby.

I just had a gut feeling Buzz was going to win.....and sure enough....
I couldn't get the video to flip! They told them to howl if they won. It was so cute!

A little candy for dessert after Bingo
Of course, they were all hyped up so came back to the room to get in their dress up gear and play!
We decided to forgo the water park the next morning and just head home. Bradley started not feeling too well, and I think we were all pooped from the night before. We had a great time and are actually going back in a few days (from when I actually wrote this post!). The kids are really looking forward to returning!
