Frozen Fun

Last weekend, I had the chance to take the boys to see Frozen (while Wes was sweet enough to keep Charlie). We had one of the suites to ourselves, so we invited my friend Nancy and her daughter Lucia, as well as a bunch of our neighborhood friends. Unfortunately, we had a heck of a time getting there. Apparently leaving an hour and a half early was not enough. We got to about 1/4 mile from the stadium with 45 minutes to spare and we were still 15 minutes late to the show. Needles to say, we learned a lot of lessons for the next time!

After frantically parking and rushing into the stadium with a kicking, fit-throwing toddler, who did not like being forced to hold hands, walk fast, and navigate insane crowds, we made it up to the suite. We grabbed some lunch on the way up and finally were able to sit down and enjoy the show. B was pretty unsure of it at first. He was scared and intrigued at the same time. He's never had much of an attention span for TV shows or movies, so this was his first experience at any type of show. Luckily, with the suite, he was able to get up and move around as needed. He cried for the first few minutes and wouldn't get down from my arms, while Ryan was chowing down on his hot dog, with his eyes glued to the show.
He wanted to keep a safe distance for most of the show
Eventually Bradley realized he knew the songs and got really excited - sitting in CoCo's laps with french fries helped, too!
The first half really held their attention. Of course there was a lot of getting up and changing seats and eating snacks, but they had a blast! During intermission, we went to get some treats and take pics at one of the little stations they had set-up. Of course grandma spoiled them, so we came home with a bunch of Frozen paraphernalia that they just HAD to have!

We were able to snap a pic of all the kiddos before the second act started. This was the best we could get, which wasn't too bad, I guess, considering they were all able to sit still enough for us to take the pictures!
So thankful for all of these sweet kiddos!
Bradley spent a lot of the second acting going back and forth between cotton candy, his lollipop, and his newly acquired wand.

I think it's safe to say the boys had a wonderful time, as did we watching them just so mesmerized. This wand has become one of B's permanent fixtures. He asks for it all the time and loves to watch the disco ball light up various things around our house. He and Ryan play "fight" with B's wand and Ryan's sword all around the house. They pretend to freeze each other and then melt each other with them.
Getting out of NRG stadium was almost just as hard as getting into it. We were basically at a stand still for 15-20 minutes, so B got creative on how to pass time. He took the sword and was pretending to slash CoCo's neck with it. The kid seriously has the best sense of humor.
Once we got home, we packed up and headed straight to Conroe to visit the Correa's new lakehouse. It was a whirlwind of a weekend filled with tons of fun, and I think the boys were pretty pooped out by Sunday morning on our drive home.
See what I mean about Bradley not wanting to let that dang wand go?

So much fun was had by all!
